Glossary of terms
Aerial work platform- A mechanical device for temporary access to inaccessible area.
Cherry picker - Also known as a boom lift, is a type of aerial work platform that consists of a platform or cage at the end of a hydraulic lifting system.
Scissor Lift - A type of platform which can usually only move vertically. The mechanism to achieve this is the use of linked, folding supports in a criss-cross 'X' pattern
